About Me
I'M jason nowitzki
Welcome! I have been capturing images for about five years with a focus on landscapes. My interest in photography began when I was unable to capture a good photograph of bald eagles that visit the Fox River near my home every winter. I found an Olympus E-Volt 500 on eBay with a couple lenses and my passion for photography began.
I quickly discovered that I needed more training and started taking lessons from Balanced Exposure, a local photography school. Eventually after this training, I had one of my images selected for an exhibit at Side Street Arts Studio in Elgin, IL. I am now at the point where I capture images with purpose to create beautiful artwork to share with my fans here.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
Inspiration
Photography to me provides me an opportunity to clear my mind connect with the outdoors. I have focused quite a bit of my work on capturing the beauty of my local community in Carpentersville, IL and the surrounding area.
Techniques
Much of my work in landscape includes High-Dynamic Range (HDR) Photography. Many times this allows me to capture light exactly as I see it. It also gives me an opportunity to create artwork from photographic images.
career highlights
Photography as a career is just beginning for me. Outside of the art exhibition mentioned above, I have done work for the Village of Carpentersville for the Village's websites. I have also done portraits and weddings.
